You no longer necessarily have to wait for an invite. From the Crew app you can search existing Crews and, when recruitment is open, submit an application directly. The Leader can accept or reject it from Crew management.
Direct invites from authorized members remain available too. If you want to found a Crew instead, you need Racer level 10 and $20,000.
ROLES, PERMISSIONS & PRIVATE CHAT
The hierarchy consists of Leader, Vice Leader, Officer and Member. Roles determine who can invite, manage members and organize the team.

FROM LEVEL 1 TO LEVEL 25
Races, podiums, multiplayer wins and Crew Wars feed the shared REP. The Crew grows up to level 25 and unlocks increasingly significant discounts in style and performance workshops.
A NORMAL RACE CAN BECOME A WAR
When a multiplayer lobby contains exactly two Crews with balanced teams of 2, 3 or 4 Racers, Street Racer automatically recognizes the race as a Crew War.
The collective result affects the Crew's competitive rating and adds to its rivalry history. The guide does not publish ELO coefficients or the internal points table: all you need to know is that every team position matters.
14 DAYS TO TAKE YOUR CREW TO THE TOP
The Crew ranking runs in seasons lasting 14 days. At the end of the season, competitive rating returns to its starting value, while Crew level and total REP remain unchanged.
THE TITLE KEEPS PAYING
Members of the reigning champion Crew receive $1,000 per day and a +5% workshop discount. Combined with Crew progression, the discount can reach up to 20% Crew discount.
EVERYTHING IN ONE APP
Home, Members, Chat, Progression, Wars, Ranking and Management are all inside the Crew app. You can check weekly and total member contributions, active cars, online status, applications and competitive performance.
